5 Things Meme

I've been tagged!

things I was doing 10 years ago (note: I actually have a diary from 10 years ago. Let's see what it says...):
1. complaining about my parents because they wouldn't let me wear the concert dress the school had picked out for the Advanced Band because it was too short
2. complaining because all the girls at school were excluding me (although looking back, I was the one isolating myself :) )
3. Quote: "It's close to 1999! That means it's even closer to 2001, when I'll be 16 and can legally date!" I am so embarassed for younger-Audrey reading through this thing... I was so excited to turn 16, and then I didn't go on a date for another 2 years. I was retarded.
4. complaining that the girls at church didn't like me.
5. Swooning over boys. Audrey, you ask, will you name off every boy who is mentioned in your diary for the month of November so we can see your reservoir of loyalty and fidelity in action? Of course. I'll even throw in what eventually happened to them for good measure!
  • Kevin W. (arrested the next summer for assault and battery, now hangs out at Smoker's World in his free time)
  • Erfan Something
  • Kyle Something
  • Marc C. (he was in my math class in 7th grade and because he was one whole year older I thought he was the funniest most mature person on the planet)
  • Drew F.
  • Stephen N.
  • Chris B. (neighbor. What was I thinking? Inactive in the church.)
  • Kary K. (Again, inactive in the church.)
  • Nathan G. (Em, you know him....)
  • Zach C.
  • Erick E.
  • Pirooz P.
  • Barry T.
  • Stephen M. (his dad was the Stake President and when he was released he went off the deep end, divorced his wife, and went off to live a life of leisure. Classy! Hopefully his release wasn't the catalyst)
  • Mike W.
  • Hamid S.
  • Ryan H. (I would sit on the bus every day hoping he would sit in front of me so I could look at the back of his head....)
  • Chandler T. (We moved away from his neighborhood in Salt Lake and I had a crush on him 4 years later, even though I hadn't seen him that entire time)
  • Byron F.
  • Daniel T.
  • James K. (gay)
  • Brian S. (gay)
  • Noah C. (was really into death metal in high school. Probably off smoking pot somewhere right now)
  • Nick B.
  • Aric B. (now that I look back on this, he was a huge jerk. Huh.)
  • Mike R. (Quote: "Mike R. sounds like Jonathan Taylor Thomas.")
Keep in mind, this is just November 1998 we're talking about. It went on like this for about the next 5 years. Until I graduated from high school. (Will you still respect me in the morning after reading this? I must know.) I hang my head in shame.

5 things on my "To Do" list for today:
1. Finish a service proposal for my library management class (anyone have experience setting up wireless networks in a library?)
2. write notes to my visiting teachees
3. Think of a topic for a 10 page analytical essay, due 2 weeks from tomorrow.
4. Watch "Bones."
5. Go over ideas for the ward Christmas program with my mom. The task of planning the entire sacrament meeting program has been delegated to me. Thanks, Bishop!

5 snacks I enjoy:
1. Edamame. I could eat soybeans all day.
2. Twix bars.
3. Diet Coke.
4. More Twix bars
5. Ice cream sandwiches. Sometimes in college when I didn't have money for all the groceries I needed, I would forego fruits and veggies and get 3 boxes of ice cream sandwiches instead.

5 things I'd do if I was a millionaire:
1. Quit my job and be a full-time student so I can get this dang master's degree done with.
2. Max out a retirement account. I was going to say a Roth IRA, but somehow that doesn't seem like a good idea in a year where I've come into a million dollars. Surely I'll be making less as a retiree, right, so the regular 401(k) would be better? (Yes, I'm a nerd.)
3. Buy a house. One of the cute little ones on University Ave. in Provo? Every time I drove to Macey's (or, rather, someone else drove--thanks, Brady and Richard!) I would lust after those houses.
4. Pay off my car and student loans.
5. Shopping spree at Banana Republic!

5 places I've lived:
1. Provo
2. Orem (at the casa de mes Grandparents--My French has been partially co-opted by the Spanish I hear every day at work)
3. Salt Lake City
4. San Diego
5. More Provo!

5 jobs I've had:
1. Burger King worker. It lasted 6 weeks. Worst job ever.
2. Subway Sandwich Artist
3. Cannon Center Student Supervisor
4. Temporary assistant to a baseball agent.
5. Executive assistant/secretary to the director at a charter school.

5 people I tag:
1. Janie! (Yes, you already did it. You don't have to do it again.)
2. Brady
3. Casey
4. Julie F.
5. Um, Amy? I really don't know who reads my blog.

I don't do tags. Sorry. I'm lazy. haha

Hey, no prob! That's always the worst part about doing these tags--finding people you want to tag at the end. What if they don't want to? What if they've already done it? What if they hate me forever? (Not really on that last one).

Audrey,
We all know you're lying. There are thirty days in November, and you only have twenty-six boys listed. You're holding out on at least four.

Ha, I love your list of boys you liked. :) It makes me think back to you going through the rounds in apt. 4. Also, I really hope that you've gotten over the ice cream sandwiches thing!
